Auditions at BYT are fun and low stress. Come and have fun trying out for a show! Everyone who wants to be in a show gets a part.
Summer Auditions
Auditions will be held June 9 and 10 from 5-7 pm for our summer shows the the Bellevue Youth Theatre, 16661 Northup Way, Bellevue. We do ask that you arrive no later than 6:30 pm for auditions.
Pre-registration is not allowed. YOU MUST AUDITION TO BE IN OUR PLAYS. Auditions are open to ages 8 and up only. There is no need to prepare anything for the audition. Participants 18 and older will be required to fill out a Washington State Patrol Background Check, which are good for one year. Call 425-452-7155 for audition information.
Ages 8-17 Fees: $0 (Bellevue Resident) / $85 (Non-Bellevue Resident)
Ages 18+ Fees*: $35 (Bellevue Resident) / $120 (Non-Bellevue Resident)
*Please note: Adults are charged an additional $35 regardless of residency. Exceptions to the adult fee: students, disabled adults, senior citizens and active registered volunteers who volunteer 10 or more hours for the show they are participating in.
SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK! The pop culture phenomenon “Schoolhouse Rock!” comes to the musical stage! The 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever songs such as “I'm Just a Bill". All ages will delight in this fun and educational blast from the past. Rehearses Monday through Friday from 3:30-5:30 pm at the Bellevue Youth Theatre.
Rehearsals begin Monday, June 23. This show will perform August 1-10 at the Bellevue Youth Theatre.
THE JUNGLE BOOK This is a great dance and acting show. Suitable roles for everyone in the family ages 8 and up. Come join the fun and embrace this great summer adventure. Mandatory rehearsal August 11-14 at the Meydenbauer Theatre.
Rehearses Monday through Friday from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Bellevue Youth Theatre. Rehearsals being Monday, June 23. This show will perform at the Meydenbauer Theatre August 15-17.
