Bellevue Youth Theatre Building Renovation - $2.2 Million
In order to serve more children, we need to enlarge our current facility. Plans underway include converting a building behind our theatre from storage to offices and a second performance area.
Community integration – undetermined
We would like to develop programs to better integrate everyone in the Bellevue community into BYT – especially seniors, at-risk youth, and persons living with disabilities.
Outdoor Pavilion - $25,000
An outdoor pavilion on the grounds of the park surrounding BYT would have a covered performance space, lighting, and sound. It would be a true outdoor theatre, and could be used for community gatherings as well as performances.
Underwriting of Meydenbauer shows - $4,000 each
We would like to expand the number of shows performed at Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue, as this gives our participants a chance to perform in a professional hall in front of a large audience.
Teen night at BYT - $5,000/year
A regular Friday night event, featuring theatre sports for teens, running from 8pm to 10 pm.
Sound studio - $20,000
In addition to allowing recording for internal usage for BYT, this would be a facility that could be rented out to members of the community.
Film recording/editing software and equipment - $20,000
Two professional-quality video cameras and other equipment would allow BYT to produce videos of its productions in house.
Costume manager - $25,000/year
This employee would be in charge of the costume room, keep the costumes in good order, and coordinate costume requests from the various shows.
Costume designer - $1800/quarter
This position would be for the designers who handle each individual show at BYT.
Dance/Performance Floor - $5,000
This is a Marley floor, composed of nonskid vinyl that provides cushioning for dancers and other performers. It is rolled out across the floor when needed for a certain performance, and is then stored away until needed again.
Professional Class Instruction for Teens (Playwriting) - $4,000
Professional Class Instruction for Teens (Choreography) - $4,000
Professional Specialized Staff Instruction for Teen Development - $4,000
